Middle Georgia Estate Whitetails

deer2Enjoy first-class whitetail deer hunting on this exclusive middle Georgia hunting plantation and lodge. This property has been Quality Managed for four years and this is the FIRST season for commercial whitetail hunting. Oconee Ridge is located 15 miles from Sandersville, Georgia and 30 miles from Milledgeville, Georgia.

This private estate encompasses over 1300 acres of continuous, superb and picture perfect whitetail deer habitat. The unique and diversified environment of the plantation includes everything from rolling hills, to creek bottoms, and lots of timber. This outfitter takes pride in producing some of the largest whitetails in southern Georgia. Hunters can expect opportunities at trophy bucks ranging from 100” to over 140”. With the help of Tecomate Seeds we plant a variety of 25 food plots annually and offer archery and rifle hunts from a variety of cover. All hunts are conducted by the use of modern stands with ladders or stairs and can be accompanied by experienced guides. Accommodations at the lodge are first-class, recently constructed, rustic lodge with all of the amenities of home. Three Day Hunts

  • DATES: Tuesday thru Thursday (Arrival from 12:00 to 2:00 pm & depart after lunch Thursday)
  • RATES: $1250.00

OR

  • DATES: Friday thru Sunday (Arrival from 12:00 to 2:00 pm & depart after lunch Sunday)
  • RATES: $1350.00

Four Day Hunts

  • DATES: Thursday thru Sunday (Arrival from 12:00 to 2:00 pm & depart after lunch Sunday)
  • RATES: $1500.00
  • Rates are Per Hunter with ½ due at booking and the remaining balance due 14 days prior to arrival. Cancellation must take place 30 days prior to the beginning of the season for refunds.
  • All Whitetail Deer hunts include, 1 Buck, 1 Doe, 1 Hog, all meals, lodging, transportation to and from stand and lodge cleaning fee.
  • Trophy Bass fishing at both of our lakes is free with a paid hunt package.
  • All meals are cooked on the premises unless other arrangements are needed.

Deer must meet the following guidelines to be harvested:

  • 1 Buck per Hunter
  • Minimum of 14” inside spread
  • Any Buck in excess of 1 will be $1000.00 (only if the hunter wishes to kill an additional Buck)
  • Any Buck killed with a spread less than 14 inch will be $500.00 (strictly enforced on Knot Heads)
  • Any blood found after a shot will be considered a kill
  • Check in from 12pm-2pm for hunters wishing to start hunting on arrival day. 2pm-4pm to hunt the next morning. We require that every hunter visit the range and test fire all guns and check sites at 100 yards.
  • We furnish all meals, snacks, and non-alcoholic beverages during your stay at Oconee Ridge!

We are very family oriented here at Oconee Ridge and welcome children to hunt and take part in the great outdoors. We offer a child package as long as the child (15 and under) is accompanied by an adult and has finished the Ga. Hunters Safety Course. The rate is $600.00 and includes 2 Doe kills or 1 doe and 1 hog. (Please see knot head rules as these are strictly enforced)

Rate for a non-hunter is $250.00

Not included in hunting packages:

Cleaning of all deer and hogs will be an additional $40.00 per animal. Animals will be quartered up and kept in your ice chest. We do not provide ice for coolers. We do have a cooler to age meat.
If a tracking dog is required to locate deer a charge of $75.00 will be added (make good shots)
Additional night of lodging $80.00 per person (Minimum three guests)
Clay targets $10.00 per case (range is free) we supply paper targets for gun range.
